Warning the bottle comes half full but there is 20g worth in there. The powder in this product allows it to be used in any type of weather and will last throughout your entire day. As many of you know already, hair powders aren’t really for me, (all over the floor/ shoulders) there are much better clays/fibres which do the same thing but way less messy, last a lot longer and are better value for money. If it’s a powder you’re specifically looking for for a low maintenance style then Slick Gorilla Hair Styling Powder is as popular as they come.

According to the brand the Slick Gorilla Clay Pomade is a paraben-free hair styling clay pomade which has been infused with natural, ethically-sourced ingredients such as clay.
Upon opening we noticed how this was going to be strong holding due to the consistency. Slick Gorilla say it separates, defines and moulds hair to deliver a strong, pliable all-day hold.
Designed to add instant texture for an effortlessly sharp look the Clay Pomade works with any hair type. Ideal choice for smart, undone styles. Matte, pliable hold so hair isn’t stiff. It also texturizes without any shine. Lasts all day and is reworkable. Easily washes out with shampoo. Not tested on animals. Suitable for Vegans.

Slick Gorilla Lightwork – 70g
The same can’t be said for the Slick Gorilla Lightwork. Yes it is paraben-free and water based, a hair styling clay infused with natural, ethically-sourced ingredients. Slick Gorilla claim it is ideal for weightless texture and movement with a light to medium hold that can be re-worked but for me it was a total flop. I’d suggest it doesn’t work with any hair type, and not ideal for some! Avoid if you have a natural curl to your hair. The light hold meant durability was poor and whilst they claim it is reworkable, it just disappeared for me. If you have your heart set on Slick Gorilla I would definitely kick things off with the Clay Pomade and take it from there.
